Why Plasa.app?

Professional creative software has historically meant bulky desktop installers, complex licensing servers, or proprietary cloud services that hold your project files behind monthly subscriptions.

Plasa.app provides a direct web home for the open-source ArtCraft ecosystem. Every app is built in pure Rust and compiled directly to WebAssembly. This means you can launch a full-featured vector editor, photo editor, or PDF tool on any modern device inside standard web browser tabs without installation friction.

How It Works

When you launch an application on Plasa.app:

  • WebAssembly Engine: The application binary is loaded into your browser memory and executes client-side using WebGPU or WebGL2 hardware acceleration.
  • Local File Processing: Files are read directly from your computer via standard browser file inputs and saved back to your hard drive upon export.
  • Zero Uploads: No canvas data, documents, spreadsheets, or video clips are ever transmitted to external servers.
  • Offline Capable: Once an app binary is cached by your browser, it runs entirely on your local machine without needing an ongoing cloud connection.

All Applications

Each app is focused on a specific creative or productivity workflow:

Open Source & Licensing

Plasa.app is an independent open-source platform. All underlying applications are clean-room open-source projects created by the ArtCraft engineering team and dual-licensed under the Apache-2.0 or MIT licenses.

You can inspect, fork, and contribute to the source code for every application on GitHub at github.com/storytold ↗.
